CITIZEN ENGAGEMENT

This is an opportunity for the public to address the City Council regarding an item on the agenda, except public hearings that are included on the agenda. Comments related to public hearings will be heard when the specific hearing begins. Citizen comments are limited to three (3) minutes per speaker, unless the speaker requires the assistance of a translator, in which case the speaker is limited to six (6) minutes, in accordance with applicable law. Each speaker shall approach the designated speaker location, complete the citizen engagement sign-in sheet and state his/her name and city of residence before speaking. Speakers shall address the City Council with civility that is conducive to appropriate public discussion. Speakers can address only the City Council and not individual city officials or employees. The public cannot speak from the gallery but only from the designated speaker location.

  A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF WOLFFORTH CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF A GRANT APPLICATION WITH THE HOMELAND SECURITY GRANTS DIVISION OF THE OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR FOR A STATE HOMELAND SECURITY PROGRAM GRANT (SHSP) FY2024;  PROJECT TITLE SPECIALITY TEAM SUSTAINMENT, GRANT 4713701; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF WOLFFORTH CITY COUNCIL IN ALL MATTERS RELATED TO THE APPLICATION; AND PLEDGING THAT IF A GRANT IS RECEIVED THE CITY OF WOLFFORTH CITY COUNCIL WILL COMPLY WITH THE GRANT REQUIREMENTS.

• 15.PUBLIC HEARING: Consider and take appropriate action on a public hearing regarding an amendment to the Wolfforth Zoning Ordinance 14.05.001-Residential District Standards for minimum front yard setbacks for a cul-de-sac.

• 16.Consider and take appropriate action on Ordinance 2024-002

  AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WOLFFORTH AMENDING CITY OF WOLFFORTH ZONING ORDINANCE BY AMENDING CHAPTER 14 ZONING; AMENDING § 14.02.002 PROCEDURES AND § 14.05.001 RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT STANDARDS; ALLOWING FOR AN ADMINISTRATIVE ADJUSTMENT FOR GARAGE SETBACKS; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

• 17.PUBLIC HEARING: Consider and take appropriate action on a public hearing to consider a zoning change by the City of Wolfforth from C3 to M1 for the construction of a furniture warehouse for 1.75 acres at BLK AK SEC 25 AB 246 TR NE ACS: 4.53. 

• 18.Consider and take appropriate action on Ordinance 2024-003

  AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WOLFFORTH AMENDING THE ZONING MAP AS IT RELATES TO PROPERTY KNOWN AS TRACT 1.75 ACRES OF BLK AK SEC 25 AB 246 TR NE ACS: 4.53, WOLFFORTH, TEXAS, BY AMENDING THE ZONING DESIGNATION FROM C-3 TO M-1;; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ORDINANCES AND PORTIONS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

• 19.PUBLIC HEARING: Consider and take appropriate action on a public hearing to consider a zoning change by the City of Wolfforth from R1 to C2 for BLK D6 SEC 31 AB 435 TR 4 NORTH OF HWY .690 acres (current location of Chelo’s) 

• 20.Consider and take appropriate action on Ordinance 2024-004

  AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WOLFFORTH, TEXAS AMENDING THE ZONING MAP AS IT RELATES TO PROPERTY KNOWN AS 740 HWY 62-82, WOLFFORTH, TEXAS, BY AMENDING THE ZONING DESIGNATION FROM R-1 TO C-3; PROVIDING A SEVERABILILTY CLAUSE; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ORDINANCES AND PORTIONS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

• 21.Consider and take appropriate action on Resolution 2024-006

  A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WOLFFORTH, TEXAS APPROVING A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH FRENSHIP YOUTH BASEBALL FOR THE PATTERSON PARK BASEBALL COMPLEX; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE

• 22.Consider and take appropriate action on Wolfforth Economic Development Corporation amended bylaws

• 23.Consider and take appropriate action on Final Plat for Iron Horse Lots 177-372 and Tracts E-G

EXECUTIVE SESSION

In accordance with Texas Government Code, section 551-001, et seq., the City Council will recess into executive session (closed meeting) to discuss the following:

• 27.551.071 Consultation with Attorney: To consult with Attorney on a matter in which the duty of the attorney to the governmental body under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with Chapter 551 – Open Meetings (i) Chapter 380 Agreement - Wolfforth Land Company

  551.074.  Personnel Matters: A governmental body may conduct a closed meeting to deliberate the evaluation of a public officer or employee. (i) City Manager

RECONVENE INTO OPEN SESSION

In accordance with Texas Government Code, chapter 551, the City Council will reconvene into regular session to consider action, if any, on matters discussed in executive session.
