2.OLD BUSINESS

  1. A.Discuss any on-going issues (Brian D.)

  2. B.Remind employees to use near miss reporting procedures

  3. C.December safety theme: Cold Weather Preparedness

  4. D.Previous trainings:
    No previous training due to the Holidays

  5. E.Recreation Department received DNR Forestry Grant. In Spring 2023, they will be hosting chainsaw training sessions.  If any departments are interested in attending, they will need to contact Mike Mathias.

  6. F.Discussion with Fire Department to have a walk-through of the Lake Street Campus.

5.NEW BUSINESS

  1. A.Set January safety theme:

  2. B.Training sessions to be scheduled for chemical safety at TRU facilities. 

  3. C.New point of contact for Fire Department since Chief Denzien is moving onto another community.

  4. D.Departments can request specialized training from MEUW Safety Coordinator, Patrick Murphy.  If there are any specialized training request, contact Patrick.

6.FUTURE SAFETY TRAINING EVENTS/SESSIONS

  1. A.No future trainings scheduled yet.  TRU will be meeting with Patrick to discuss 2023 Q1 trainings and the rest of the City departments will be notified of the schedule.

7.ESTABLISH NEXT SAFETY COMMITTEE MEETING TIME AND DATE

  1. A.Next meeting tentatively scheduled for Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 8:15AM
