1.CALL TO ORDER - Brian Dellemann called the meeting to order at 8:15 a.m.

  1. A.MEMBERS PRESENT - Brian Dellemann, Ross Blaha, Andrew Sukowaty, Jamie Jackson, Steve Denzien, Ben Meinnert, Andrew Raatz, Steve Pagels, Jeff Dawson, Dave Casebeer, James McDonald, Kevin Krizek, Gina Sampe, Dee Dee Dirkmann, and Patrick Murphy - MEUW Safety Coordinator

  2. B.Members Absent - Dave Buss, Brian Kohlmeier, Lisa Kuehn, Scott Duessing, and Jared Rohrer

2.REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES - Safety Committee minutes from the meeting of May 18, 2022 were accepted. Motion was made by Jeff Dawson and seconded by Ben Meinnert.

  1. A.Discuss any on-going issues (Brian D.)

  2. B.Remind employees the importance of Near Miss reporting procedures.

  3. C.Previous month theme:
    Summer Safety & Skin Cancer Awareness

  4. D.Previous trainings:
    Police Safety Training with Patrick completed, final session was June 1.

  5. E.Vorpahl has been chosen as city-wide fire extinguisher inspector and when capable fire suppression system inspections will be added.

  6. F.During Summer months a reminder to employees working outdoors to wear sunscreen and take other proactive measures to help against the sun and other heat related issues. Note: sunscreen should be kept in field vehicles for employees

  1. A.Seasonal & Contractor Safety Training - June 15th, 7:15am & 10:00am, Electric Dept Back Garage, 1-hour sessions (Field Employees only)

    No trainings scheduled yet for July, will be meeting with Patrick to discuss.  Any suggestions on training topics?

7.ESTABLISH NEXT SAFETY COMMITTEE MEETING TIME AND DATE

  1. Tentative - Thursday, July 14, 8:15AM - 9:15AM
