BE IT KNOWN that the City Council of the City of Sweeny will meet in Regular Session on date and time listed above at 102 W. Ashley Wilson Rd, Sweeny, Texas, Sweeny City Hall with the following agenda. Council is conducted under modified Roberts Rules of Order as approved by Resolution 102-16; July 19, 2016. In accordance with Chapter §551 of the Texas Government Code, if required, the Council may conduct an executive session on any of the agenda items provided the City Attorney is present.

1.Conduct a Public Hearing on the proposed 26/27 Budget for for the City of Sweeny
2.Public Hearing to on proposed tax rate for the City of Sweeny to support the 26/27 Budget Year.

This item is available for those citizens wishing to address City Council on an issue not on the agenda. Any item discussed cannot be voted on but could be considered for placement on the agenda of the next regularly scheduled meeting. Limited to three (3) minutes.

REGULAR AGENDA

3.Take action to consider the proposed budget as presented for the 26/27 City of sweeny Budget year. Ordinance #
4.Approve the tax rate to support the 26/27 Budget.

The Motion should read " I move to approve ordinance # that states the proposed tax rate be increased by the adoption of a tax rate of 0.901224, which is effectively a 1.84 percent increase in the tax rate."

This MUST be a record vote.
5.Consideration and Possible Action to approve Budget Amendments for 25/26 Fiscal year
6.Cosideration and action to approve a Bid from Concrete & Conconstruction to repalce the walking track in BackYard Park. in the amount of $50,750.00
7.Have a request to allow the annual BonFire for the Sweeny seniors student to be held at the Elementary property as usual.
