• 1.Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women's Day Proclamation

  Background: The proclamation recognizes and brings awareness to the national crisis of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW), which disproportionately affects Indigenous communities. This issue has deep roots in historical injustices, systemic violence, and jurisdictional challenges that have left many cases unresolved. The proclamation affirms the community’s commitment to honoring the lives of missing and murdered Indigenous women, raising public awareness, and supporting ongoing efforts toward justice, healing, and prevention. This action aligns with growing local, statewide, and national movements to bring visibility and change.

  Background:  The discussion will focus on the potential need for a dedicated Building Manager to oversee the maintenance, operations, and scheduling of city-owned facilities. This role would be responsible for ensuring building are property maintained, handling repair and renovation projects, managing security and safety compliance, and coordinating with staff and contractors.
