NEW BUSINESS
Cares Act Grant Sandy Transit has been awarded $398,000.
Route Updates and Ridership Current ridership numbers for SAM Gresham and Estacada routes are down from last year. SAM Rides and Ed service numbers continue to climb.
New Cutaways SAM's new cutaway vehicles are wonderful and do extremely well on gas.
GM Operations Update MV continues to hire new drivers, they will have a booth at the Sandy Community Center job fare on April 16, 2024.
OLD BUSINESS
Capital Projects Sandy city employees have met with MWA's architect team numerous times to discuss the remodel of the Operation Center. MWA has presented the city with three different remodel suggestions to work with and to help support all departments in the building.
New Clackamas Town Center Route & Business Advertisement (added to Agenda) Suggestions made were to disburse schedules at neighborhood apartment complexes and businesses along the route.
Sandy Library Outreach Vehicle (added to Agenda) Rebecca Hanset with Sandy Library came and requested board support for the project. They would like to purchase a vehicle to serve the greater cornering communities of Sandy such as Boring and Government Camp. The request for support from the Board was endorsed.
NEIGHBOR UPDATES MHX ridership numbers are currently climbing, but continue to be lower then pre-pandemic levels.
