Public notice is hereby given that the Recreation and Parks Board of the City of Port Lavaca, Texas, will hold a regular meeting Wednesday, October 28, 2026, beginning at 12:00 p.m., at the regular meeting place in Council Chambers at City Hall, 202 North Virginia Street, Port Lavaca, Texas to consider the following items of business:

• 1.General discussion and hear statements from citizens.

ACTION ITEMS - Parks Board will consider/discuss the following items and take any action deemed necessary

• 2.Approve minutes from the regular meeting held September 23, 2026.

• 3.Receive Parks & Recreation Operations and Maintenance report from Director of Public Works.

• 4.Receive update on park assignments from park board members.

• 5.Receive financial status report on the Parks and Recreation Department.

• 6.Receive update on ongoing 2026-2027 Capital Improvement Projects (CIP).

  • Wilson Park Basketball court

  • Raised crosswalk/sidewalk from Splashpad to restrooms at Lighthouse Beach

  • TPWD Grant for design of improvements to Lighthouse Beach Boat Ramp Entrance Channel.

  • The Boardwalk and Shared Use path from Bayfront Park to near Scully’s paid for in part with a Matagorda Bay Mitigation grant.

  • Historical signs for Bayfront Park paid for in part with a Summerlee Foundation grant

• 7.Discuss the monthly financial report on Lighthouse Beach RV Park and Campground.

• 8.Receive presentation on the proposed Food Truck Court at the corner of Main Street and  Commerce Street.
