Staff is proposing increasing moorage rates for those customers who have permanent stall leases that moor vessels that do not annually leave their assigned stall for a period of time. Staff is interested in what the Board would consider a reasonable amount of time to require vessels to be out of their stalls to not qualify for the increased rate.
Staff is proposing a fee for all new lease customers of a one-time charge for derelict boat disposal. Currently, the Harbor Department annual budget includes a $7,500 line item for dealing with derelict boat disposal. Typically, this amount has been adequate, but as vessels become more and more expensive to dispose of staff is looking to generate a revenue stream for dealing with future issues. Staff is interested in what the Board would consider a reasonable fee.
A condition assessment of the State Seaplane Facility could be forthcoming. Manager Giesbrecht is interested in having information for a possible discussion at the Assembly level concerning a request for major maintenance or facility upgrades.
