5.Director's Report

- Stevie Schmidt has left her position as a part time library clerk and Barb Steltz has rejoined the staff. We are excited to have her back!

- Summer STREAM and Baby Bookworms starts May 29. The adult/teen program starts in early June. 

- Voices of Seetka Kwan has had some wonderful episodes in the last month, including one on Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women & Girls Day (May 5th)

- GOAT (Group of Advisory Teens) is still going strong. They had a pizza party last month where they revisited their name and decided to keep it. A group of about 7 teens continues to host a radio show on Friday. Later this summer some of the teens will learn how to use the iPads/Lego kits that we will purchase with grant funds, then go on to teach this to elementary school students in the fall. 

- In May the library hosted a gardening presentation from the author of Gardening Near Glaciers and a container gardening workshop with Andrea Weathers.

6.Unfinished Business

  1. A.The FY23 General Fund passed in its first reading. Two more readings are scheduled. 

7.New Business

  1. A.Elisa Teodori has submitted her letter of resignation from the Board, see attached. The seat will not be refilled until the October 2022 regular Borough Election. 

  2. B.Board Members Barb Fish and Alec McMurren have terms that will expire in October 2022. 

  3. C.A proposed Social Media Policy is attached for review.

    The Board will not meet again until the fall. A date for the next meeting will be determined in September.
