  5. 5.Consideration and ACTION to approve the first reading of an ordinance providing an amendment to the Los Fresnos Code of Ordinance Chapter 44-Utlities, Article I. General, Sec. 44-13. Services Rates and Other Charges; Billing and Collection; providing repealer, severability, and effective date.

  6. 6.Consideration and ACTION to excuse the absence of Leo Casanova from the April 7, 2025 CDC meeting.

F.ACTION ITEMS

  1. 1.Consideration and ACTION to approve the first reading of an ordinance to rezone the proposed Pederson Brothers Subdivision No. 5 located at 29.356 acre tract of land comprised of 22.761 acres out of Block 159 and 6.595 acres out of Block 160 the City of Los Fresnos, Texas from R3 Multi-Family to R-1 Single Family District for Block 1, Lots 2-24, Block 2, Lots 2-62, Block 3, Lots 1-24 and C-2 General Commercial District for Block 1, Lot 1, Block 2, Lot 1 of the proposed Pederson Brothers Subdivision No. 5 amending the official zoning map to reflect the new zoning; and providing an effective date for the implementation of this ordinance.

  2. 2.Consideration and ACTION to accept the recommendation by Hanson Professional Services to award a contract for construction services to M.J.A. Construction, LLC under the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) CDBG Contract No. CV23-0338 for the Base Bid of $239,004.63, Additive Bid No. 1 of $72,328.76, and Additive Bid No. 2 of $52,315.21 for a total award of $363,648.60. This award is contingent upon environmental clearance of the additional scope and TDA approval of the amendment for the additional scope.

  3. 3.Consideration and ACTION to approve a service agreement with Greer and Associates, Inc., A Spire Risk Management Co.

  4. 4.Consideration and ACTION to approve the first reading of an ordinance providing an amendment to the Los Fresnos Code of Ordinance Chapter 10-Buisinesses, Article V. Sexual Oriented Businesses, Sec. 10-123. Definitions; providing repealer, severability and effective date.

  5. 5.Consideration and ACTION to approve the first reading of an ordinance to the Los Fresnos Code of Ordinance Chapter 10-Businesses, to create Article IX, defining and regulating the sale of E-Cigarettes, hemp product and locations of smoke lounges, smoke/vape shops, CBD/Hemp/Cannabis Shops, Providing repealer, severability and effective date.

  6. 6.Consideration and ACTION to approve creating the position of a Part-Time Human Resources Clerk and set the wages.
