1. 1.Janitorial Services (Attachment #1). At the December 8, 2022, Airport Board meeting, staff presented use of contractual janitorial services as a cost saving way to perform additional custodial services in the terminal. The Board requested additional justification for additional costs; whether contractual or additional airport staff. The attached narrative and breakdown discusses how much time is needed to clean or perform custodial duties for the square footage of the terminal, as well as the additional duties and maintenance items that come up on any shift. Terminal staff currently consists of a supervisor (Maintenance Mechanic III), Maintenance Mechanic I, Building Maintenance Technician/custodial and four custodial staff, two of which were hired three weeks ago. Staff wants to keep up on the new terminal to keep it clean and in good working order. The supervisor, Bobby Dilg, will be at the Board meeting to discuss the custodial and maintenance requirements of the terminal, as requested by the Board.

   Board Motion: “Approve the addition of two custodial positions (employees or contractual) for the airport terminal, at a cost not-to-exceed $150,000/year.”

G.NEW BUSINESS

1. 2.Hangar Authorized Use Change. A change of ownership is pending for Executive hangar L8, from K&C Leasing LLC to RED Leasing LLC. A change of Authorized Use, from private aircraft storage to commercial use, has been requested by RED Leasing, since their intent is to sublease the hangar to Ward Air.

   Board Motion: “Approve the change of Authorized Use of Block L, Lot 8 to commercial use.”
