IV.OLD BUSINESS

  1. A.Council to consider funding the full-time Deputy City Clerk position within the City Clerk’s Office at the approved salary range of $55,000.00 to $75,000.00, and not to exceed $160,000 as there will be benefit costs, and supplies (computer/laptop, misc.) needed for the new person.

  2. B.Council to consider approval of invoices for new water fountains.

V.NEW BUSINESS

  1. A.Council to consider the minutes from 09/16/26 Special Called Council Meeting regarding Public Hearing #1 (Millage Rate).

  2. B.Council to consider the minutes from 09/16/26 Special Called Council Meeting regarding Public Hearing #2 (Millage Rate).

  3. C.Council to consider a resolution regarding a budget amendment for Councilmember A. Dixon ($2,200.00), Councilmember A. Miller ($2,200.00), and Councilmember Fox ($2,200.00)j to come from the City Center Professional Services line item to each of their travel line-items. Councilmember Curney budget amendment will come from the Contingency line-item to the Education and Training ($2,000.00) and Travel ($2,500.00) line-items.

  4. D.Council to consider acceptance of FY26 Byrne Discretionary Grant Award for additional body & dash cams for Jonesboro Police Officer and PD fleet vehicles. 

  5. E.Council to consider hiring John Burdin as the Public Works Director with a salary of $99.800.00 effective November 2, 2026.

  6. F.Council to consider approval of Human Resources Director position.
