1. A.The Department of Justice, Attorney General’s Office, requests retention of special counsel pursuant to Iowa Code Section 13.7, to represent the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in arbitration proceedings seeking approximately $20 million from two Medicare Advantage payors for purported underpayments associated with drugs eligible for 304B reimbursement. Attorney fees and costs will be paid from the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Hospital Administration Fund.
