THIS NOTICE IS POSTED PURSUANT TO THE TEXAS OPEN MEETING ACT (CHAPTER 551 OF THE TEXAS GOVERNMENT CODE). THE CITY COUNCIL OF IOWA COLONY WILL HOLD A WORKSESSION AT 5:30 PM ON MONDAY, MAY 12, 2025 AT IOWA COLONY CITY HALL, 3144 MERIDIANA PARKWAY, IOWA COLONY, TEXAS 77583 FOR THE PURPOSE OF DISCUSSING THE FOLLOWING ITEMS.

An opportunity for the public to address City Council on agenda items or concerns not on the agenda. To comply with Texas Open Meetings Act, this period is not for question and answer. Those wishing to speak must identify themselves and observe a three-minute time limit.

EXECUTIVE SESSION
Executive session in accordance with 551.071 and 551.074 of the Texas Gov’t Code to deliberate and consult with attorney on the following:

• 1.To discuss personnel matters related to the search for a new City Manager, including review of proposals from executive search firms, qualifications and criteria for the position, related recruitment processes, and other legal matters involving the City.

• 2.Discussion on update of the salary survey and compensation study.

• 3.Discussion on FY2025-26 Budget Process Overview.

• 4.Discussion on proposed Coogan tract Plan of Development.

• 5.Discussion on proposed KB Homes 104 acre-tract development located at the Southeast corner of Iowa Colony Blvd. and Cedar Rapids Parkway. 

• 6.Discussion on Capital Improvements Plan funding options.
