In addition to in-person public comment during the meeting, members of the public may submit written comments by email to comments@homewoodil.gov or by placing written comments in the drop box outside Village Hall.   1. Consider a motion to approve the minutes from the regular meeting of the Board of Trustees held on July 28, 2026.

6.Claims List:

  1. Consider a motion to approve the Claims List of August 11, 2026 in the amount of $775,672.81.

7.Oaths of Office: The Village Clerk will administer the oath of office to:

  1. A.Anne Mitchell for the position of Assistant to the Village Manager in the Manager's Office.

  2. B.Ryan Hope for the position of Firefighter/Paramedic in the Homewood Fire Department.

  3. C.Kevin Wake for the position of Lieutenant/Paramedic in the Homewood Fire Department.

8.Retirement Resolution:

  1. R-3268/Retirement/Matthew Moran:  Pass a resolution honoring Matthew Moran on his retirement after 20 years of service to the Village of Homewood Fire Department.

9.Presentation(s):  Communication and Engagement Manager Antonia Steinmiller will present the refresh of the Village of Homewood Style Guide.

11.Omnibus Vote: Consider a motion to pass, approve, authorize, accept, or award the following item(s):

  1. A.R-3269/Appointment of Delegate and Alternate Delegate/Intergovernmental Risk Management Agency:  Pass a resolution appointing Assistant to the Village Manager Anne Mitchell as Delegate and Finance Director Amy Zukowski as Alternate Delegate to the Intergovernmental Risk Management Agency pool effective August 11, 2026.

  2. B.M-2445/Public Water Supply Loan Program Agreement/2027 Lead Service Line  Replacement Program:  Pass an ordinance providing authorization to borrow funds from the Public Water Supply Loan Program in an amount not to exceed $4,110,772.33, to be used to fund the Village’s Lead Service Line Replacement Program in the year 2027.

  3. C.M-2446/Purchase Agreement/Horton Ambulance:  Pass an ordinance waiving competitive bidding requirements due to standardization of equipment; and, approving a purchase agreement for one (1) Horton Ambulance in the amount of $405,817 through the Northwest Municipal Conference (NWMC), to be delivered no later than 2029.

  4. D.Purchase Approval/Fuel Island Pedestal System/B&K Equipment:  Waive competitive bidding; and, authorize the purchase and installation of a replacement Fuel Island Pedestal System from B&K Equipment of Lansing, IL, in an amount not to exceed $28,413.

  5. E.R-3270/Motor Fuel Tax Funds/2026 Street Resurfacing Program:  Pass a resolution appropriating $350,000 of Motor Fuel Tax Funds to the 2026 MFT Street Resurfacing Program.

  6. F.Purchase Approval/Emergency Generator/Buckeye Power Sales/Installation/Meany Electric:  Waive competitive bidding; authorize the purchase of an emergency standby generator from Buckeye Power Sales of Romeoville IL in the amount of $53,642; and, authorize Meany Electric of Hazel Crest IL, to complete the associated electrical installation, startup, testing, and commissioning for Lift Station 1A in an amount of $26,800, plus additional dollars need for site prep and tree removal prior to installation of new equipment, for a total amount not to exceed the budgeted amount of $100,000.

  7. G.R-3271/Term Sheet/Parking Spaces/St. John Neumann Parish: Pass a resolution accepting the terms per the attached Term Sheet and authorize the Village Manager; the Village President, the Village Attorney, and other necessary Village officials to take all necessary actions to enter into a Lease Agreement with St. John Neumann Parish and the Archdiocese of Chicago for the shared use of 69 parking spaces and improvements to the church’s parking lot and associated drainage infrastructure. The Lease Agreement will be presented for formal Board approval at a future meeting.
