Consent Agenda
The Consent Agenda is a meeting management tool to allow the City Council to handle several routine items with one action.
Council Members may request an item be pulled off the Consent Agenda and considered separately under the next agenda item in the order they were listed.
The purpose of the C St project is to connect to 66th Ave and 59th Ave with intersection control changes at 59th Ave and C St. The project will resolve existing grade issues and provide connectivity for residents in the Northridge Estates neighborhood. If not completed C St will remain a dead-end street with little value to the neighborhood or the City.
The Project will require the acquisition of tracts of fee simple right of way, permanent easements, and temporary construction easements along C Street. City staff have begun discussions with owners within the project area. As the Project progresses, staff will continue to work with owners to meet the goals of the project, address site considerations, and acquire the property interests necessary for the project. Staff fully intend to negotiate in good faith and follow a uniform acquisition process for all affected owners; however, if an agreement cannot be reached, and to meet the schedule and budget requirements of the project, the City may consider the use of eminent domain.
