• 1.Workshop to include Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Representative Scott Van Hoff, Regional Flood Insurance Liaison, Mitigation Division.

  Scott will be completing a presentation on Dillingham's Building Codes and the National Flood Insurance Program. Scott will also explain how these two items play a significant role in all community members insurance.

  Some reference will be given to the Former Typhoon Merbok (categized as a Pacific Storm) and the devastation it left in Western Alaska during September 2022. For historical record, Dillingham was not negatively impacted by this storm as only high winds were recorded within Dillingham and no significant losses occurred.
