• 1.Executive Session in compliance with La. R.S. 42:17(2) Strategy sessions or negotiations with respect to collective bargaining, prospective litigation after formal written demand, or litigation when an open meeting would have a detrimental effect on the bargaining or litigating position of the public body.

  NOTICE OF EXECUTIVE SESSION

  The DeSoto Parish Police Jury is providing notice pursuant to La. R.S. 42:17 that it will be convening for an executive session as authorized by La. R.S. 42:17(A)(2) and that it intends to enter into the session for the purposes the lawsuit filed by David B. Means, et al against the DeSoto Parish Police Jury in the United States District Court Western Division of Louisiana, Shreveport Division, Civil Action No. 5:23-CV-00669. The discussions in the executive session will be limited to matters exempt from the open meeting requirements set for in Louisiana Law. No final or binding action will be taken during this executive session.
