Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Del Rey Oaks has called and will convene a special meeting of the City Council at the time and location stated on this agenda. The public may view the meeting online or may participate in-person in the Council Chamber.

1.ROLL CALL - Council

2.PUBLIC COMMENTS: General Public Comment must deal with matters subject to the jurisdiction of the City and the Council that are not on the Agenda. Anyone wishing to address the City Council on matters not appearing on the Agenda may do so now. The public may comment on any other matter listed on the Agenda at the time the matter is being considered. There will be a time limit of not more than three minutes for each speaker. No action will be taken on matters brought up under this item and all comments will be referred to staff.

3.NEW BUSINESS:

  1. A.The City Council will consider approval of the 2023 5th Cycle Housing Element Update, to amend the General Plan, and to amend the Del Rey Oaks Municipal Code to add an affordable housing overlay zone to defined areas within former Fort Ord within the City in order to meet the City’s Regional Housing Needs Allocation requirements under the 5th Cycle Housing Element Update.   The City Council will certify the Environmental Impact Report prepared for this action under the California Environmental Quality Act.
