Public comments are welcomed, but no action can be taken by the Commission on comments received at this meeting.  Anyone wishing to have the Commission vote on an item should call the Finance Office at 578-2600 by 5:00 p.m. on the Wednesday preceding the next scheduled meeting to be placed on the agenda.

  1. a.Accept resignation from Tyler Williams, seasonal Public Works employee, effective August 4, 2021 

  2. b.Remove Allison Baloun, seasonal Archives Intern, from payroll effective July 28, 2021.

  3. c.Remove the following seasonal parks employees from payroll:  Tessa Allen, effective August 6, 2021 and Owen Wisser, effective August 20, 2021

  4. d.Approve updated job description for Centennial Archives Photo Archivist/Researcher position at library.  

  5. e.Approve revised part-time wage scale for City of Deadwood employees.  

  6. f.Permission to change wage for Lili Sjomeling, part-time Centennial Archives Photo Archivist Researcher position to $14.00 per hour, effective August 22, 2021.  

  7. g.Deadwood Public Library requests approval to serve beer and wine at the Library on Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for the South Dakota Festival of Books Author Reception.

  2. b.Hold public hearing for Oktoberfest events: open container in zones 1 and 2 Friday, October 1 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 2 from noon to 10:00 p.m.; street closure on Main Street from Wall to Deadwood October 2, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and waiver of banner fees.

  4. d.Hold public hearing for Deadweird Event: open container in zones 1 and 2 Friday, October 29 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 30 from noon to 10:00 p.m.; street closure Main Street from Wall to Pine from 5:00 p.m. Saturday, October 30 to 3:00 a.m. Sunday, October 31, 2121; and waiver of banner fees.

  2. b.Permission to repair and replace City sidewalks in violation of City Ordinance at Ferguson Field in an amount not to exceed $15,000.00. To be paid from Public Works Sidewalk and Improvements Budgets.

  3. c.Permission to hire Twin City Construction in the amount not to exceed $19,890.00 to address Demolition by Neglect issues (reroof) at 824 Main Street to be paid by Historic Preservation line item #215-4575-505-03 per legal action directives.
