Approval is requested to enter into a Turnkey Design/Build agreement with Georgia Power for the installation and commissioning of electric fleet charging stations at the METRA campus (814 Linwood Blvd.). Costs include infrastructure work and system installation to be performed at the METRA campus. One (1) CP6621 Dual Port Level 2 charger and two (2) ChargePoint Express Plus chargers will be installed. The total cost of the agreement is $509,452.00, including site work and installation. Funds in the amount of $381,494.00 will come from METRA’s T-SPLOST funding. 2024 Transit Trust Fund Program (TTFP) funds in the amount of $127,958.00 will also be used. These funds were allocated to METRA by GDOT for the purpose of installing electric bus chargers at METRA’s campus.
Approval is requested to extend the intergovernmental agreement between the Columbus Consolidated Government (CCG) and the Columbus Convention and Visitors Bureau (CCVB) for an additional five-year period as originally authorized in Resolution No. 294-09 and subsequent extensions per Resolution No. 282-15 and Resolution No. 337-20.
Approval is requested for the acceptance of that portion of Holstein Hill located in Phase Three, Section One, Heiferhorn Farms.
Approval is requested for the acceptance of that portion of Hawks Ridge, located in Section VIII, River Crest.
Approval is requested for the acceptance of that portion of Osprey Cove Drive located in Addition to Section One, The Estates at River Crest.

Approval is requested for the Mayor, or his designee to apply for and accept, if awarded, the Homeland Security grant award, in the amount of $112,523.00, or as otherwise awarded, for upgrading, repairing, and a complete refurbishment of the current bomb robot for the Hazardous Devices Team that is not in service due to being outdated and broken, with a local match requirement of $28,130.75, and amend the multi-governmental fund by the amount awarded.
Approval is requested for the Mayor, or his designee to apply for and accept, if awarded, the Homeland Security grant award, in the amount of $30,000.00, or as otherwise awarded, for the purchase of 240 CERT kits (equipment) for the Community Emergency Response Team program to train citizens in emergency preparedness and how to respond to emergencies in their homes and work places until first responders can arrive, with a local match requirement of $7,500.00, and amend the multi-governmental fund by the amount awarded.
Approval is requested for the Mayor, or his designee, to apply for and accept, if awarded, the Homeland Security grant award, in the amount of $410,465.35, or as otherwise awarded, for the purchase of one law enforcement advanced technology robot, with a local match requirement of $102,616.34, and amend the multi-governmental fund by the amount awarded.
Approval is requested for the Mayor, or his designee, to apply for and accept, if awarded, the Homeland Security grant award, in the amount of $408,137.30, or as otherwise awarded, for the purchase of one law enforcement advanced technology robot, with a local match requirement of $102,034.33, and amend the multi-governmental fund by the amount awarded.
Approval is requested to apply, and if awarded, accept the State of Georgia Department of Community Affairs Equity Fund Rural Workforce Housing Initiative on behalf of NeighborWorks Columbus by the amount awarded in the amount of a $1,500,000 infrastructure loan and $2,500,000 infrastructure grant, and amend the Multi-Governmental Fund by the amount awarded. The loan/grant funding will be utilized by NeighborWorks Columbus for workforce housing at Newman’s Crossing, located off Farr Road, to provide 61 single-family homes for sale, as well as the necessary infrastructure for this development.
Approval is requested to apply for and accept, if awarded, a grant in the amount of $10,000.00, or as otherwise awarded, from the Community Research Grant Program offered by the Partnership for Innovation. The funds will support the development of digital twin technology to enhance wildland fire research in Muscogee County, in partnership with the Georgia Institute of Technology. No matching funds are required.
Approval is requested to accept a donation of $6,000 from Chuck McClure and Back Columbus Blue to purchase two K9 ballistic vests for the K9 Unit.
ADD-ON:
Approval is requested to apply for and accept, if awarded, a grant in the amount up to $3,000,000.00, or as otherwise awarded, from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Georgia Outdoor Stewardship Program for improvements to the historic power channel of the Chattahoochee River.
