Approval is requested of the add on resolutions for the 2023 Legislative Session of the Georgia General Assembly, which the Mayor and Council deem appropriate.
Approval is requested to execute an Intergovernmental Agreement for the Steam Mill Road Improvements Project. TSPLOST will fund 100% of the cost of this $22,500,000 project. This includes but not limited to engineering, environmental, right of way, and construction cost. Funds will be reimbursed by GDOT TIA Office.
Approval is requested for the acceptance of Hals Way, That portion of Plateau Drive, That portion of Elliotts Avenue, and that portion of Providence Lane located in Phase One, Elliotts Walk. No City funds are involved until maintenance is assumed after the two-year warranty.
Approval is requested to allow Parks and Recreation to apply for grants available through the Hawks Foundation and Georgia Recreation and Parks Association and, if awarded, accept the grant valued at $2380.00. Six agencies per district will be awarded the needs-based scholarships.
Approval is request authorizing payment to employees for unused sick leave in accordance with 16B-15-6(2) of the Columbus Code of Ordinances. As part of the FY2023 Budget, $365,000.00 was allocated to pay for this benefit. The required expenditure may or may not exceed this amount.
Approval is requested to accept donations totaling $6,125 given in support of the Columbus Police Department.
Approval is requested to apply for a grant and, if awarded, accept grant funds in an amount up to 2.9 million dollars to improve neighborhood parks, playgrounds and facilities.

Scope of Bid
The Consolidated Government of Columbus, Georgia (the City) is seeking vendors to provide dumpsters/roll-off containers on a rental basis, to include servicing the equipment on an “as needed” basis. Services will be procured both during the week and on weekends.
The contract term will be for two (2) years, with the option to renew for three (3) additional twelve-month periods.
Scope of PQ
The Columbus Consolidated Government (the City) is seeking quotes from qualified vendors to provide one (1) minnow tank, 8 ft, with 6 compartments with a window in each. Two (2) carbon filter cells 16”, air manifold system to aerate tank and additional tubing and chemicals included for indoor use at the Parks & Recreation Lake Oliver Marina Bait Shop.

Scope of Bid
Provide a park and ride facility for METRA Transit System. The project consists of grading a vacant lot and installing a parking lot and features for METRA Transit System. The project location is 1646 9th Avenue in Columbus, GA.

Columbus Consolidated Government (the City) is requesting bids to repair and rebuild B400R and 6R140 transmissions for METRA Transit System. The services will be procured on an as-needed basis. The City reserves the right to add additional transmissions as METRA Transit System receives new vehicles within the contract period.
The contract period shall be for three years.

Scope of RFP
Provide routine grounds maintenance services on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis, to include fertilizing, weekly mowing, edging, weed control, irrigation, pruning, mulching, disease and insect control, etc. The Public Works Department manages one hundred and eleven (111) grounds maintenance sites within nine contract areas in Muscogee County. These areas enhance the appearance of major road arteries and high visibility areas and improve the quality of life for citizens.
The initial term of the contract will be for two years, with the option to renew for three additional twelve-month periods. Contract renewal shall be contingent upon the mutual agreement of the City and the Contractor.
Scope of RFP
Columbus Consolidated Government (the City) is requesting proposals for court reporter services for all preliminary felony hearings at Recorder’s Court. The court reporter shall also provide services for Advisement of Rights sessions that are held at 8 A.M. on Saturdays and some holidays. The services will be procured on an as-needed basis, and the contract shall commence on February 1, 2023 (date subject to change). Existing City employees are prohibited from providing court reporting services for Recorder’s Court.
The initial term of the contract will be for two years, with the option to renew for three additional twelve-month periods. Contract renewal shall be contingent upon the mutual agreement of the City and the Contractor.
