Approval is requested to authorize a MOU with NeighborWorks Columbus for the development of workforce housing at Elliott's Walk utilizing State of Georgia Department of Community Affairs Equity Fund Rural Workforce Housing Initiative Funding.
Approval is requested for the adoption of the 2023 Columbus Plan Update. This mid-decade (also done in 2003, 2013, and now) update includes an updated Needs & Opportunities, the accomplishments from the 2019-2023 Community Work Program, and the new 2024-2028 Community Work Program (CWP). The CWP is used to guide the development and growth in Columbus over the next 5 years.
Approval is requested to allow Parks and Recreation to apply for grants available through the Hawks Foundation and Georgia Recreation and Parks Association and, if awarded, accept the grant valued at $2380.00. Six agencies per district will be awarded the needs-based scholarships.

Columbus Consolidated Government is seeking a third-party advisory firm, with experience establishing community-funded networks of care for underserved and inmate populations. The firm shall assist the City with developing a fair, inclusive and equitable plan to service the target populations’ medical needs.
