NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
CITY OF COLUMBUS, WISCONSIN
Public notice is hereby given that the City of Columbus Plan Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, August 8th at 6:35 pm at Columbus City Hall, located at 105 N Dickason Blvd.
The Public Hearing will be to consider the Project Plan and Boundary for proposed Tax Incremental Financing District No. 7 (TID #7). At that time, all interested parties will be afforded a reasonable opportunity to express their views on the proposed TID #7 Project Plan and Boundary.
TID #7 will be classified as a mixed-use district based on the identification and classification of the property proposed to be included within the District. The purpose of TID #7 is to provide financing for new infrastructure and promote economic development in an area of the City poised for future commercial, residential, and mixed-use growth. The proposed boundaries of TID #7 include parcels identified for redevelopment near Tower Drive and Park Avenue, existing residential parcels connecting these areas, the existing Columbus Country Club, the existing Kestrel Ridge residential development and existing Kestrel Ridge golf course development, along with vacant parcels for future phases of the Kestrel Ridge residential subdivision and a vacant parcel to the east, across Farnham Street.
Proposed project costs identified in the Project Plan include capital projects, infrastructure projects, real estate acquisitions, $35,000 donation to TID #6, and cash grants that may be provided by the City to owners, lessees or developers of property within proposed TID #7, pursuant to Wis. Stat. §66.1105. The proposed costs include projects within the proposed boundary and within a one-half mile radius of the proposed boundary of the District.
