4.CITIZENS APPEARANCES

Each person in attendance who desires to speak to the City Council on an item posted on the agenda, shall speak when the item is called forward for consideration.

Speaker Rules for all speakers require each speaker to fill out a speaker card and provide to the City Secretary prior to addressing city council. Each speaker will be allowed three (3) minutes to address the city council. The speaker will not be interrupted by council or staff. Council and staff will wait until after the three (3) minutes to answer any questions or make comments. The presiding officer or any councilmember may request the city manager place the subject on a future council meeting. 

Please note that City Council may only take action on items posted on the agenda. The Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the City Council from deliberating or taking action on an item not listed on the agenda. City Council may, however, receive your comments on the unlisted item, ask clarifying questions, respond with facts, and explain policy.

All items listed below are considered to be routine by the City Council and will be enacted with one motion. There will be no separate discussion of the items. Approval of the consent agenda authorizes the City Manager to implement each item in accordance with staff recommendations.

B.Consider and take possible action on a minute order ratifying the Burleson 4A Economic Development Corporations’ action approving an easement for a 15-foot-wide sanitary sewer easement located within the Hooper Business Park property. 3. C.Consider and take possible action on a Facility Use Agreement with Johnson County for the use of Burleson City Hall Council Workroom as an Early Voting Polling location for the November 3, 2026, General Election. (Staff Contact: Amanda Campos, City Secretary)

1. A.6885 County Road 518 (ZC26-003): Hold a public hearing and consider and take possible action on a zoning ordinance change request on approximately 56.362 acres of land from A, Agriculture to PD, Planned Development. 2. B.9028 CR 1019 and 2100 Lakewood Drive (ZC26-005): Hold a public hearing and consider and take possible action on a zoning ordinance change request on approximately 32.297 acres of land from A, Agricultural and PD, Planned Development to MF2, Multiple-family dwelling district, generally located at 9028 CR 1019. 3. C.Spillers-Houston Companies, TnT Builders and Raining Red at 201 W Bufford St., STE 103 & 105 (VAR26-012): Consider and take possible action on a resolution for a variance to Chapter 63, Sign Regulations, relating to number of sign cabinet signs per elevation, allowing for the addition of one (1) cabinet sign for a total of two (2) cabinet signs on the east building elevation. 5. A.Consider and take possible action on a resolution approving the Chisholm Summit Community Park and Trail Plan (Phase One) in accordance with Article 9, Section 9.2 of the Chapter 380 and economic development and performance agreement with the Burleson 4A Economic Development Corporation, RA Development Ltd., Burleson Development Inc., B&G South Metro LP, Rocky and Angela Bransom, Alta Burl LP, Janice Yvonne Jackson, and the Jackson family Trust for Chisholm Summit (CSO#1775-06-2021).
