1. A.5-Year Recreation Plan Timeline

   Marcy Hamilton to provide an overview of the City of Buchanan 5-Year RecreationPlan.

   Develop Survey – Sept 21- Oct 6 (I am working on this today) 

   1st Meeting with BARB (with Township reps) to review survey and background information.  – Sept 28 – Oct 5 

   Release survey – Oct 7 (press release, social media, emails, etc)Survey Closes – Nov 5.

   2nd BARB meeting – week of Nov 15 (review the survey results and update the goals, objectives and action plan)

    3rd BARB meeting – week of Dec 6 (review the final draft plan)

    The public review period would be mid-December to mid-January. 

    The public hearing would be mid to late January with adoption by City Commission.

    Submit to MDNR by Feb 1, 2022 deadline.
