Welcome to the City of Belle Isle Planning & Zoning meeting. Agendas and all backup material supporting each agenda item are available at the City Clerk's office or the city's website at www.belleislefl.gov. Any person desiring to appeal a recommended action of the Board should observe the notice regarding appeals below. CAUTION: Untimely filing by any appellant shall result in an automatic denial of the appeal.

    Officers. The planning and zoning board shall elect a chair and vice-chair from among its members at the first meeting in January of each year. The board may create and fill such other offices as it may determine. The terms of all offices shall be for one year with eligibility for reelection. In the absence of the chair, the vice-chair shall preside and have the same powers and duties as the chair.

APPEALS: “If a person decides to appeal (Belle Isle’s City Code Section 42-71) any decision made by the Board with respect to any matter considered at such meeting or hearing, he/she will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, he/she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.”(F. S. 286.0105). A notice of appeal to the City Clerk should be submitted within fifteen (15) days after such recommendation or decision is made “Persons with disabilities needing assistance to participate in any of these proceedings should contact the City Clerk‘s Office (407-851-7730) at least 48 hours in advance of the meeting.
