Proposed Zoning Ordinance Amendment - Medical Marijuana

The proposed ordinance amends the zoning ordinance to add provisions and regulations for  Medical Marijuana Facilities. The definition section now includes definitions for an  “Academic Clinical Research Center”, “Medical Marijuana Dispensary” and “Medical  Marijuana Grower/Processor”. It also includes a statement that that all definitions in the  Medical Marijuana Act, Act 16 of 2016, are incorporated by reference. The ordinance would  permit a Medical Marijuana Dispensary (under 4,000 square feet) in the C-1 zone, Academic  Clinical Research Centers in the C-2, C-3 and C-4 zones, and Medical Marijuana  Grower/Processors in the MLI zone.

  Motion: I move that we approve the proposed Zoning Ordinance Amendment, permitting a Medical Marijuana Dispensary (under 4,000 square feet) in the C-1 zone, Academic Clinical Research Centers in the C-2, C-3, and C-4 zones, and Medical Marijuana Grower/Processors in the MLI zone.
