April 13, 2026 - Historic Preservation Commission Meeting 04/13/2026 12:00 PM

Call to Order

1.Motion to approve the revision to the previously approved plans at 120 Citizen Street submitted by Jason and Betty Guillot, changing the approved guest cottage to a two-car garage with a porch.

2.Motion to approve repair in kind to the building’s exterior (no additions) at 204 Bookter Street, submitted by Hilton Eymard. Scope of work includes removal and/or replacement of windows on the east and west wings as shown in attached drawings, replacing deteriorated windows with matching 1-lite single hung (PGT) windows, replacement of rear doors with wood half-lite doors featuring 9 lites, replacement of siding with Hardie siding to match current exposure on the main house and garage, and installation of a new roof using materials that comply with historic guidelines.

3.Motion to approve the installation of a metal projecting sign at 111 Main Street, Suite C, submitted by Flying Dolly’s. The sign will conform with Bay St. Louis Zoning Regulations.

4.Motion to approve the installation of a metal hanging sign at 144 Main Street submitted by Blake Dantin with Flo and Glo, with the sign to conform to Bay St. Louis Zoning Regulations.

5.Motion to approve the construction of an in-ground pool on the side of the house at 101 Ramoneda Street, submitted by Rod Ferrand.

6.Motion to approve the addition and renovation to the dwelling at 916 South Beach Blvd submitted by Emory Mayfield, consisting of a complete renovation with an addition, Artisan Hardie siding, a standing seam galvanized metal roof, and Andersen aluminum wood-clad windows with raised mullions.

7.Motion to approve the construction of a new dwelling at 126 Sycamore submitted by Mary Thompson.

8.Motion to approve an in-ground pool and a fence to HPC standards at 107 Carroll Ave submitted by Ben Ballay.

9.Motion to demolish house and all functionally obsolete structures at 232 Citizen Street once proper permits are issued to the property owners, Dianna and Mark Webb. Any salvageable materials will be retained, and a new primary structure will be designed and constructed in accordance with Bay St. Louis Historic District Commission rules and regulations.

10.Motion to approve the new construction of a dwelling at 701 Hancock Street, designed to conform to the HPC design guidelines submitted by Mark Benfatti.
