1. 2A.Approval of Meeting Minutes from May 16, 2022.

3.DISCUSSION ITEMS

1. 3A.Discussion and action to approve a negotiated resolution of the Complaint filed by Mayor Connie Schroeder against Council Member Robert James Crouch pursuant to Section 1.15.017(g) of the City’s Code of Ethics.

4.CONSIDER PROCEDURAL ISSUES

1. 4A.Consider procedural issues related to complaint against Robert James Crouch, including evidentiary objections and related issues.

5.EVIDENTIARY HEARING

1. 5A.The Board of Ethics will conduct an Evidentiary Hearing with regard to the complaint filed by Mayor Connie Schroeder against Council Member Robert James Crouch to determine whether Crouch violated Section 1.15.009(d)(1) and Section 1.15.009(e)(1) of the City of Bastrop Code of Ethics (Article 1.15 of the Code of Ordinances). Depending on the outcome of the Evidentiary Hearing, the Board of Ethics may deliberate and take action on the assessment of the appropriate sanction.

6.EXECUTIVE SESSION

1. 6A.Ethics Commission may convene into closed executive session pursuant to Texas Government Code:
   •                Section 551.071, to seek the advice of legal counsel regarding any issue on the agenda, including but not limited to the ethics complaint filed by Mayor Connie Schroeder against Robert James Crouch and issues related to the Evidentiary Hearing.
   •                Section 551.074(a)(2), to consider a complaint or charge against a public officer (Robert James Crouch, City Council Member Place 4).   

7.TAKE ANY NECESSARY OR APPROPRIATE ACTION

1. 7A.TAKE ANY NECESSARY OR APPROPRIATE ACTION ON MATTERS POSTED FOR CONSIDERATION IN CLOSED/EXECUTIVE SESSION
