PUBLIC SERVICES

1.Motion to approve a five (5) year lease agreement with FLIX (Parent company of Greyhound) for use of space in the Transit Transfer Facility located at 1546 Broad Street in Augusta, Georgia.

2.A.N. 26-36 – Existing Location, New Ownership: Retail Package Beer and Wine. Anil K. Kasturi applicant for Himadri Investments 2026 LLC, to be used in connection with 3333 Mike Padgett Hwy, Augusta GA 30906.

3.M.N 26-06: A request by David Whiters II for Massage Operator’s License to be used in connection with Oasis Massage & Spa located at 3351 Wrightsboro Road Ste 101. District 5, Super District 9.

4.Motion to receive as information an emergency procurement pursuant to Section 1-10-57 of the Augusta, Georgia Procurement Code for services by Sig Cox, in the amount of $25,200.

5.Motion to receive as information an emergency procurement pursuant to Section 1-10-57 of the Augusta, Georgia Procurement Code for services by AAA Iron and Fabrication, in the amount of $27,000.

6.Ms. Veronica Y. Bogans regarding Sand Hills Community Center in association with the Sand Hills Neighborhood Association.

7.Approve the transfer of $6,160.00 from operating to personnel budget accounts for the Planning and Development Department.

13.Planning and Development Department is requesting approval for additional funding to the zoning ordinance update to include but not limited to two (2) additional public engagement meetings/workshops for input from all Commissioners, stakeholders, and the public, and the production of an Official Zoning Map and Future Land Use Map. This request also is to extend the period of performance to November - December 2026 with an addition not-to-exceed the amount of $68,368 for the adoption of the new Zoning Ordinance through White & Smith, LLC. RFQ Item #24-142. A scope of work and roadmap is attached for your review and consideration. (Referred from the July 21, 2026 Commission Meeting)

14.Motion to approve the minutes of the July 14, 2026 Public Services Committee Meeting.

15.Motion to approve a Special Exception to the Light Industrial Zoning for the Juvenile Justice Center formerly approved for Craig-Houghton Elementary School.
