PUBLIC SAFETY

1.Motion to approve of the following annual bid item, as the estimated annual purchases for these items are expected to exceed $25,000.00. This request is in accordance with Sec. 1-10-58 of the Annual Contracts provision. Motion to approve the award of Annual Bid Item 26-038A Firefighter Work Uniforms & Accessories for the Augusta Fire Department to NAFECO. The award is for a three (3) year period with the option to extend for two (2) additional one-year terms.

2.Motion to accept the CACJ Operating Grant Award for the Superior Court Accountability Courts (Drug Court, Mental Health Court, and Veterans Court) in the amount of $511,864 with a MATCH requirement of $90,329. Designate Chief Superior Court Judge Flythe as Authorized Official

3.Motion to accept the 2025 Georgia Opioid Crisis Abatement Trust (GOCAT) grant award given by the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council in the amount of $42,675 with no cash match requirement. Designate Chief Superior Court Judge Flythe as Authorized Official

4.Motion to approve the minutes of the June 9, 2026 Public Safety Committee Meeting.

5.Motion to approve Change Order #3 to extend the period of performance to December 31, 2026 with an additional not-to-exceed amount of $75,000 to Task Order #1 for Hurricane Helene Cost Recovery Services through Tetra Tech. RFP 24-917
