1.Augusta Regional Airport (AGS) – Approve Work Authorization #24 for Mead and Hunt to provide Construction Administration and Construction Observation (CA/CO) services for the construction of Terminal Security Camera Upgrades in the amount of $164,069.74. This item was approved by the Augusta Aviation Commission 06/25/26. (25-158C)
2.Augusta Regional Airport (AGS) - Approve the Construction Contract to NetPlanner Systems, Inc. in the amount of $1,556,877.35 for the Security Camera Improvement project. This item was approved by the Augusta Aviation Commission 06/25/26 (ITB #26-150). The recommendation of award for this contract was approved by the Augusta Commission for May 21, 2026, item #23 (ITB 26-150).
3.Augusta Regional Airport (AGS) - Approve Work Authorization # 25 for Mead & Hunt to provide professional design Feasibility Study support for the development of a new Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) facility at the Augusta Regional Airport in the amount of $55,176.50. This item was approved by the Augusta Aviation Commission 06/25/26. (RFP 25-156)
4.A.N. 26-27 – New Location: Shameka Jacobs is the applicant for 127 Taste LLC, requesting Consumption on Premise Liquor, Beer, Wine, and Sunday Sales. This is located at 127 Laney Walker Blvd Ext, Augusta GA 30901. District 1, Super District 9
5.A.N. 26-35 – Existing location, new ownership: Melissa Winter is the applicant for Lounging Around LLC, requesting Consumption on Premise Liquor, Beer, Wine, and Sunday Sales. This is located at 2706 Gordon Highway, Augusta GA 30909. District 4, Super District 9
6.M.N 26-06: A request by David Whiters II for Massage Operator’s License to be used in connection with Oasis Massage & Spa located at 3351 Wrightsboro Road Ste 101. District 5, Super District 9.
7.Motion to approve the selection of JHC Corporation as the vendor for Bid Item# 26-161, Construction Services for May Park Improvements, in the amount of $3,521,680, and Bid Item# 26-162, Construction Services for Boykin Road Park Improvements, in the amount of $2,456,857; to approve associated SPLOST 7 allocations; and to authorize the mayor to execute the contracts and all related documents.
8.Planning and Development Department is requesting approval for additional funding to the zoning ordinance update to include but not limited to two (2) additional public engagement meetings/workshops for input from all Commissioners, stakeholders, and the public, and the production of an Official Zoning Map and Future Land Use Map. This request also is to extend the period of performance to November - December 2026 with an addition not-to-exceed the amount of $68,368 for the adoption of the new Zoning Ordinance through White & Smith, LLC. RFQ Item #24-142. A scope of work and roadmap is attached for your review and consideration.
9.Commission to discuss and consider amending the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance of Augusta, Georgia to establish land use regulation criteria pertaining to data centers. Planning and Development is requesting approval of the regulations.
10.Ms. Patricia Geter -The Health & Financial Impact of Data Center Placement In Residential Spaces where wetlands reside.
11.Ms. Zakiya Mabery - From Rezoning to Reality: Lessons Learned from the Eisenhower Data Center Process.
12.Receive an update from the Administrator’s Office regarding funding for right-of-way and vacant lot clean-up. (Requested by Commissioner Stacy Pulliam)
13.Dr. Melissa DeVelvis regarding the placement of a state historic marker at May Park.
14.Dr. Gayla Keesee relative to suggestive changes and amendments to strengthen the Draft Data Center Zoning Ordinance.
15.Mr. Frank G. Howard regarding the Phalonda Yvette Howard Project Improvement to Diamond Lake Park.
16.Motion to approve the minutes of the June 23, 2026 Public Services Committee Meeting.
