  Hello AV Residents,
       After three days of working on the wells and the aquifer we have come up with some bad news.  A few weeks ago the land owner on the North side of the highway and west of the Chevron Station drilled his well 50 feet deeper and started running the pivots.  At this time we feel that this has started draining the aquifer and is causing major problems for our water system.
  
       At this time I am forced to ask all residents to conserve water until further notice.  Do not water landscapes, trees, lawns, etc. Do not wash cars.  No exterior water usage at all other than livestock and animals.  Please turn off all automatic water systems.  Inside please limit your baths and keep the showers short.  I need everyone to conserve water wherever possible. 
  
       I hate to ask but I need this help until we can understand this situation.  I have attorneys, engineers, the state, the Washington County Conservancy, and many others working with us on this situation.  We are working hard to resolve the situation.
  
        Tonight at 6 pm I will hold a special meeting with the residents at the town building to go into more detail, answer questions and address concerns.  Everyone is welcome to attend for more information.  I encourage everyone to attend and get the facts.  We will also broadcast the meeting live on zoom.  You can find the link on the town website.  Thank you for your cooperation in this urgent matter.
