Call to Order

1.Joint Public Hearing with the Town of Appomattox Planning Commission regarding a request by Katrina A. Slagle for a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) to continue operating a small private practice serving the community providing mental health, medication management, counseling and wellness care by appointment. The location for the requested Conditional Use Permit (CUP) is 667 Lee Grant Avenue, and is in an existing single-family structure.

Tax Map Identification Number 64A5 A 85. This property is zoned R-1, Limited Residential and the proposed use is permitted by a Conditional Use Permit (CUP).

2.This item is brought before Town Council for a discussion regarding several recent changes during the last General Assembly session (Virginia Code Section 15.2-2290). Specifically, changes include adding "manufactured home" as a permitted use in districts listed in the aforementioned State code section.

3.Councilor McKinley Cardwell will provide Town Council with an update to the VML Innovation submission for the Council For A Day program.

4.The Town Facilities Project Director, Tori Rothgeb, will provide Town Council with status updates to current Town of Appomattox projects.
5.The Town Treasurer has provided her monthly Town of Appomattox Financial Report for review by Town Council.

6.Closed Session pursuant to Code Section 2.2-3711(A)8, of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, for consultation with legal counsel employed or retained by a public body regarding specific legal matters requiring the provision of legal advice by such counsel. Nothing in this subdivision shall be construed to permit the closure of a meeting merely because an attorney representing the public body is in attendance or is consulted on a matter.
7.Closed session pursuant to Code Section 2.2-3711(A)6, of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, for a discussion or consideration of the investment of public funds where competition or bargaining is involved, where, if made public initially, the financial interest of the governmental unit would be adversely affected.
